If laughter is the best medicine, then Dublin will warmly welcome the latest prescription from the Bulmer's International Comedy Festival which returns to Dublin – bigger, better and funnier than ever before! Now in it's sixth year The Bulmers International Comedy Festival has become one of the top five comedy festivals in the world. It has played host to the cream of international and Irish talent. This year's festival will take place in various venues across Dublin for three weeks from September 6th. The Bulmers International Comedy Festival is especially proud to announce comedy sensation of 2009 Michael McIntyre’s debut Irish performance. Joining him on the line up this year is Fascinating Aida, Rich Hall and Otis Lee Crenshaw; the hugely popular Jimmy Carr; rising comedy star Stephen Lynch; red hot American acts Janeane Garofalo and Al Madrigal; from the Axis of Evil Maz Jobrani; The Rubber Bandits; Dublin’s 98 Toll Trolls, ‘Waiting For IKEA’; The Nualas in Neil Simon’s ‘The Odd Couple’; the enigmatic Kevin McAleer; The Crack with Miss Behave; Dan Antopolski; legendary bassist Guy Pratt and the wonderful Dead Cat Bounce. The festival will also see the return of The Orchard Path Comedy Trail taking place in various pubs around town and also a search for new talent in the competition Nothing Butt Funny which is going nationwide this year in it's never ending quest to find the funniest newcomers to the Irish comedy scene.
