Temple Bar TradFest 2010
From Wednesday 27th January to Sunday 31st January 2010 the Temple Bar TradFest will celebrate its fifth birthday in style with an expanded programme featuring many free and family orientated events. TradFest is a much loved annual festival which takes place each January in Temple Bar in the heart of Dublin City, Ireland. TradFest brings Irish music and culture to the area and has grown in size over the past 5 years and now includes headline concerts, free events, photography exhibition, films, a substantial family programme, a colourful parade and lots more. The Temple Bar TradFest was voted Best Traditional Music festival at the recent Irish Festival Awards. Included in the line up for the forthcoming festival is the Kilfenora Ceili Band, Matt Molloy, John Carty, Arty McGlynn, Finbar Furey, Noel Hill, Tony Linnane and others. Complimenting these pioneers of the tradition, the festival also includes some of the most sought after, internationally known young performers such as Beoga, Téada and the sensational, all female group, Líadan. Jameson Dublin International Film Festival 2010
The Jameson Dublin International Film Festival is Ireland’s premiere feature film festival and takes place in Dublin over the course of eleven movie filled days and nights in February. Each year the festival plays host to the cream of Irish and International film talent by presenting the latest and most diverse that the world of cinema has to offer. As well as a comprehensive programme of films the festival offers a range of film events from the glitz and glamour of the red carpet at Gala Screenings to industry master-classes, Q&As;, public interviews and panel discussions. The festival is a citywide event that takes place in all the Dublin City Centre Cinemas as well as hosting an Outdoor Cinema Programme that takes place on the streets of Dublin. Films from at least thirty different countries are shown creating an incredible range of diversity and connecting people and cultures from all over the world. Many of the films shown at The Jameson Dublin International Film Festival are premieres and for some of the films shown the festival is the only public screening that will take place in Ireland. From the serious to the more casual filmgoer The Jameson Dublin International Film Festival has an electric atmosphere created year on year by the participation of directors, screenwriters, actors and other film professionals that attend the festival and make for a unique cinema going experience, as well as creating a lively forum for exchange. The Jameson Dublin International Film Festival provides a great opportunity to celebrate cinema by meeting with other film lovers and immersing yourself in the most provocative, thought provoking and exciting film from the four corners of the globe.

Meteor Ireland Music Awards 2010
The Meteor Ireland Music Awards 2010 were launched today with the announcement of this year’s nominees and live performances. Recognised worldwide as Ireland’s definitive music awards it will celebrate its ten year anniversary this year. The event will be held at the RDS Dublin Friday 19th February 2010 in what promises to be the music highlight of the year. The star-studded music spectacular will be presented by international TV presenter Ireland’s Amanda Byram. Performing on the night to celebrate the ten year anniversary will be the best in music, both home grown and international including Westlife, Snow Patrol, The Script, Florence and the Machine, Paulo Nutini, The Coronas, Pixie Lott and many more to be announced.
