Over the years, the Music in Great Irish Houses Festival has brought Irish audiences the finest chamber music in the world and showcased it in the environs of our national architectural heritage. This year is no exception. The Artistic programme is being finalised and among the top international artists committed to appearing are: THE LEOPOLD STRING TRIO–This exciting ensemble performs regularly in top international concert halls such as Carnegie and London’s Wigmore, in addition to major festivals in Edinburgh and Aldeburg. The EBENE STRING QUARTET make their Irish début This Quartet is fast earning a reputation as one of the finest young quartets on the international scene. They will be joined by compatriot. PHILIPPE CASSARD a big favourite with Irish audiences (being the first winner of the Dublin International Piano Competition) who made his first appearance in the Festival in 1989.
