The Library Bar at The Central Hotel combines the charm and elegance of a bygone age with the most modern facilities and services.
Tucked away on the first floor, the Library Bar is a haven of peaceful luxury.
The welcoming atmosphere and the fine furnishings make it a popular venue for daytime business meetings, morning coffee, light lunches, afternoon tea, pre-dinner drinks, and even a nightcap before retiring.
No wonder people who love the library Bar are trying to keep it a secret for the fear it will become overrun!
Enjoy a glass or two of Dublin’s famous brew Guinness or a Jameson on the rocks, or for the Ladies a nice shot of Baileys. After shopping at nearby Brown Thomas on Grafton it is the ideal venue to unwind. Going to the Theatres nearby, drop in for a relaxing aperitif.

Dining at the Library Bar
The Library Bar is delighted to offer your the delights from the 'Exchequer Gastropub' located on the ground floor.
The 'Exchequer Dublin 2' recognise the importance of supporting Irish producers, therefore they try their very best to source their produce nationally. The fish is sustainable and from Irish waters, meat is from the Irish countryside, organic veg and ice cream are Irish and their cheese, air dried meats and tasty bites are sourced from Irish artisan producers where possible.
Head Chef, Anthony Gaughan, and his team cook every dish to order, with great care and attention to detail. We hope you love his food as much as we do!
"Nationally sourced seasonal produce, consisting of Irish meats, seafood from Irish waters and a dedication to the Irish artisan producer (with a bow to our European neighbours for the odd essential) are at the forefront of our ethos."
