Beauty (a black maid) is helping Jennifer (her white employer) care for her dying husband while the Police are excavating Jennifer’s rose garden. As the tension in the house builds, a gruesome discovery in the garden unmasks a terrible secret and provides an opportunity for ‘Beauty’ to capitalise on Jennifer’s misfortune. Seeking salvation, Jennifer is forced to face the truth about her dying husband, her own life and denial about her role in past events.
