Christmas in Dublin

There is so much to do and see this Christmas in Dublin City, with special events including the a variety of Christmas markets with seasonal food, drink and gifts including the 12 Days of Christmas at George’s Dock, the Christmas Cracker Flea Market (14th -16th Dec) in Smithfield and only a short walk from the Central Hotel, there is the Dame District Christmas Market and the Christ Church Cathedral Christmas Market – held in the 12th century historic Crypt. Also on offer at these events are music and festive acts – all you need for a touch of festive cheer!

Of for the younger visitors to Dublin, why not pay a visit to the Phoenix Park where you can get the chance to meet some of the young deer born every year in the Park. Or if you prefer to get into the Christmas spirit with a spot of shopping, well the streets that run by the Central Hotel are filled with shopping opportunities all lit up with the Christmas Lights. George’s Arcade is a atmospheric Victorian red brick market full of quirky shops and across the way is the impressive Powerscourt Townhouse Centre – with a selection of shops and eateries, housed in Georgian splendour.

The atmosphere around Dublin City at this time of year is magical and whether you are in the shops, pubs or restaurants there is a special buzz around the place. The Central Hotel, with our award winning Library Bar, is the ideal spot to relax after a busy day in the city.
