Dublin City is a vibrant capital city with a great selection of events happening throughout the year, from concerts, theatre, musicals, literary events – there is bound to be something of interest:
- Discover Ireland Dublin Horse Show, the horse show runs from the 7th to the 11th of August and is held in the RDS in Dublin City. It is one of the country’s largest equestrian events and features the Puissance with the famous “Wall”, the Agha Khan Challenge Trophy for the FEI Nations Cup. There are also numerous other equestrian events as well as food, shopping and crafts for all the family to enjoy.
- Mountains to Sea DLR Book Festival - this literary festival runs from the 3rd to the 8th of September in Dun Laoghaire, with a great selection of well known authors such as Seamus Heaney and Margaret Atwood.
- Dublin Fringe Festival – this takes place in a number of venues in Dublin City from the 5th to the 22nd of September. There are over 600 events to choose from including music, dance, opera and visual arts, representing a cross-section of Irish and International artists. A fun event with something for everyone.
- Arthur’s Day - this event takes place on the 26th of September at 17:59, to be more precise in celebration of all things related to Arthur Guinness who founded the famous Dublin brewery in 1759.
